Orlando - Rhineland neighbours Bayer 04 Leverkusen and 1. FC Köln came together to enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World Resort on Tuesday.

Players from both camps posed for photos alongside fans and, of course, Mickey Mouse, with excitement already reaching fever pitch ahead of kick-off in the inaugural Florida Cup.

No Rhineland derby

"I had lots of fun," enthused Bayer 04 captain , who was joined on parade by Köln skipper , SC Corinthians Paulista and former Hamburger SV forward Pablo Guerrero and Fluminense FC's Dario Conca.

The Bundesliga duo will, incidentally, contest the upcoming four-team event alongside Brazil's big two, but will not face each other during the competition.

Slam dunk

The Bundesliga World Tour 2015 representatives will come together once again on Wednesday to watch the NBA game between Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets, with Bayer 04 striker set to take on Köln counterpart in a half-time shoot-out.

Twenty-four hours later, it's down to business in the Florida Cup. Leverkusen tackle Fluminese at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Kissimmee (kick-off 23:00 CET), before Köln and Corinthians meet two hours later on the same pitch. The action concludes in Jacksonville on Saturday, when a tournament and national champion will be crowned. Two Rhineland rivals working in tandem: that really is something magical.
