Cologne - Xherdan Shaqiri has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal at Italian outfit FC Internazionale Milano, a day after FC Bayern München confirmed the Swiss international would be leaving the club.

Quintuple winner

The 23-year-old passed a medical on Friday and trained for the first time in Nerazzurri colours later that evening.

After joining Bayern from Swiss club FC Basel 1893 at the start of the 2012/13 season, Shaqiri enjoyed a trophy-laden stint in the Bavarian capital, winning the Bundesliga and DFB Cup twice, as well as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in 2013.

Despite scoring 11 goals in 52 Bundesliga appearances, however, the diminutive winger was unable to hold down a regular place in the starting line-up.
