Cologne - It hasn't exactly been a spectacular season so far for SV Werder Bremen fans, but die Grün-Weißen faithful have been regaled with some superb goals from in recent weeks.

After his blinding free-kick helped Werder pick up a point against Hannover 96 on Matchday 15, he went one better just a few days later against Borussia Mönchengladbach to win the Goal of the Week vote for the second time in the space of three days.

could only stand and watch as the ball flew past him, and users also watched on in amazement as the 27-year-old found the back of the net once again from a dead-ball situation. Despite being unable to prevent Werder slumping to a 4-1 defeat at the Borussia Park, his second-half strike earned him 46 per cent of the post-matchday vote.

Borussia Dortmund's was not far behind in second place (38 per cent) with a goal which was as spectacular as it was important for the Westphalians against VfL Wolfsburg, while (nine per cent), (five) and (two) shared the rest of the vote between them.
