Matchday 12: Statistical Review

Cologne - When did Bastian Schweinsteiger last appear competitively on a football pitch? Which unwanted statistical quirk does Roberto di Matteo currently hold?

bundesliga.com not only has the answers to all those questions, but to many more besides. Here's a statistical review of Matchday 12...

132 - After his injury troubles, Bastian Schweinsteiger (pictured) finally made his competitive return for FC Bayern München 132 days after the FIFA World Cup final. He assisted the fourth goal of the 4-0 win over TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for good measure.

4 - The most away wins on a Matchday so far this season. Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Hertha Berlin and FC Augsburg all emerged victorious.

13 - Hoffenheim failed to beat Bayern at the 13th attempt. The Bavarians are the only club they haven't beaten in their Bundesliga history.

4 - FC Schalke 04 have won all four competitive games under Roberto Di Matteo (pictured) in the Veltins Arena. Away from home, they've lost every game.

25 - For the second time in their history, VfL Wolfsburg conceded three goals in the opening 25 minutes of a match. In August 1997 against Bayern, they were three down after 20 minutes and ended up losing 5-2.

832 - SC Freiburg's Admir Mehmedi (pictured) ended his run of 832 minutes without a Bundesliga goal. His first headed goal in the German top flight proved the golden strike.

859 - Bayer 04 Leverkusen's Stefan Kießling put an end to the longest goal-drought of his Bundesliga career against Hannover 96, scoring again after 859 minutes (since Matchday 1's 2-0 victory in Dortmund).

5 - Leverkusen's Karim Bellarabi (pictured, l.) scored his fifth goal of the season. He now has more in 12 Matchdays this season than in three previous years of Bundesliga football.

8 - 1. FSV Mainz 05 conceded their seventh and eighth goals from headers this season, the highest number in the league.

3 - Only Hertha Berlin have scored three direct free-kicks this season. After Ronny's two efforts, Marcel Ndjeng netted in their win over 1. FC Köln.

15 - Eintracht Frankfurt have picked up as many points (15) after 12 Matchdays of 2014/15 than the entire Hinrunde last season.

600 - Roy Beerens' goal to make it 1-0 in Cologne was the 600th goal scored on the road in Hertha's Bundesliga history.

4 - FC Augsburg captain Paul Verhaegh (pictured) has scored four goals this season, all of which have come from the penalty spot.

9 - Exactly nine months after their last away win on 22 February (2-1 in Stuttgart), Hertha finally picked up three points on the road again.

18 - Bayern are now unbeaten in their last 18 competitive games (15 wins, three draws).

7 - For the seventh time in 12 games this season, Mainz shared the points. That's more than any other team.

2 - SC Paderborn 07 came back from a two-goal deficit to record a point for the first time in their Bundesliga history.

12 - Paderborn's 18 goals this season have been scored by 12 different players . No other team has so many different goalscorers in their ranks.

6 - For the first time in over six years, Borussia Mönchengladbach lost after leading at half time. The last occasion this occurred was 25 October 2008 against Energie Cottbus.
