Stuttgart - There are no prizes for guessing which side walked away the happier after VfL Wolfsburg's away to VfB Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon.
bundesliga.com rounds up the post-match thoughts of some of those involved at the Mercedes-Benz Arena...
Ivan Perisic: It was a lot fun. We were into the game from the very first whistle. Stuttgart only had two real chances and Diego [Benaglio] kept them both out really well, which was also important for us. Going forward we kept engineering time and space. We played so superbly, we were so good going forward and put the game to bed to walk away with three points.
We defended well and the substitutes also did their job after coming on.
We already knew about Stuttgart's qualities in attack. We had to stand our ground. It went well for us.
We're the architects of our own downfall. You also have to say Wolfsburg played an incredibly effective game. Again, though, we gave away goals far too easily. We have to eradicate the basic errors from our game.
We strung together plenty of chances in the first half, but Wolfsburg are a good side. If we'd have scored first, the game would have turned out differently. We were pretty exposed after the break. We have to fight in Bremen, stay together as a team and try not to concede so many goals.
We played well going forward, but we have to make it count. We have to stamp out the errors and recognise the dangers earlier on. From my own point of view, I'm on the right track. I always try to do my best and give my all for the team.
I had a good feeling at the start of the game. We had a few chances to take the lead. Then we made mistakes and were punished. We have to learn how to be more solid in the coming games. We had a lot of possession and at times played some decent football, but again without the desired result. That's all that counts.
