Wolfsburg - Naldo and Co. were understandably full of beans after coasting to a deserved 3-0 win over disgruntled 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Sunday.

rounds up the reaction to a decidedly one-sided encounter at the Volkswagen Arena...

Naldo:

This was a really important win for us - the table could have looked a lot different if we'd not won it. I always try to get forward for set-pieces and obviously I was delighted with the part I played in the first two goals. The coach always says how important set-pieces are. We're happy to be playing a lot of games and to be in Europe. Training all week for one game at the weekend is a bit boring.

Kevin De Bruyne

: I think we played a really good game today, both in attack and in defence. We did our job. We’ve played a lot of games but everybody was fresh today and I think we fully deserved to win.

Diego Benaglio

: It was a really good team performance today against an awkward opponent. We had a bit of trouble getting into the game early on but after that it was a very good display.

Ivan Perisic

: We worked really well in training. Maybe we weren’t so good early on but we still won. We played well today and got another three points. That was great.

Marcel Schäfer:

It felt good to be back in the team. It was a difficult match, but we did well and I think we deserved to win. Looking at the performances of Ricardo Rodriguez, you'd have to say he's been one of the best left-backs in the country, if not the best. That's a shame for me, but I have to make sure I'm fit and ready to step in when he's not available, and I think I've done that very well in the last two games.

Niko Bungert:

We didn't really compete today and our organization was all over the place. Wolfsburg played at their limit after a really tough game away in Europe this week, but we couldn't match them. We didn't put enough into the game and we got what we deserved really.
