Gelsenkirchen - Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder will play no part in Germany's UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying match with the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday after pulling out of the squad due to illness.

The 23-year-old is suffering with gastric flu and has been sent home to rest ahead of the Foals' Matchday 8 encounter away to Hannover 96 Saturday afternoon. Kramer only made his senior debut for Germany in May this year but was nevertheless selected in Joachim Löw's 23-man ensemble for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, even starting the final against Argentina in July only to be substituted off in the first half with concussion.
