bundesliga.com rounds up the key players' post-match reaction...

Alexander Meier: Köln play a very clever system, with their full-backs pushing high up the pitch. Even when you have them under pressure they always seem to find a solution and their first goal was very well worked. We had a few good chances and we knew that if we made the most of the space on the flanks and if we could find the right man in the middle we'd be okay, and thankfully today it worked out. I can only give thanks to Haris Seferovic for a wonderful cross. He really made it easy for me. It's great to be fifth but there's still a long way to go this season.

1. FC Köln

Kevin Wimmer: We should have defended the corner better. It's a pretty disappointing defeat, but we'll have to live with it. We definitely had enough opportunities to score more goals, which makes it even more disappointing. As for the own-goal [which made it 3-2], it just rebounded off me past Timo [Horn]. We started really well today, and even after their goals, we didn't hide. We showed exactly what is required from us at this level. It's a real shame to come back from 2-1 down in the second half and still to lose. It was an avoidable defeat.

Jonas Hector: I think that we just made too many mistakes today. Even after playing as well as I did today, my main focus is on Köln. Obviously everyone dreams of playing for their international side, but I'm not thinking about it yet.
