Mönchengladbach - Hamburger SV's Lewis Holtby made no bones about what the Red Shorts need to improve upon most after their narrow 1-0 loss away at Borussia Mönchengladbach on Wednesday evening.

Gladbach's players were predictably upbeat, on the other hand, after continuing their unbeaten start to the season with a victory and a clean sheet. bundesliga.com has the post-match reaction from the Borussia Park.

We've got to try and keep our heads up. This is a difficult phase for us, but I don't think we played all that bad a game today. We ran a lot and fought, and we had far more possession than in recent games. We've just got to score! Somehow, one scrappy goal, anything. It's not meant to be at the moment though.

I've got to pay the whole team a huge compliment today. Once again, we've hardly let our opponents have a chance at the back. We're working well as a team and creating lots of chances. We now have nine points and that means we're right on track. We've not lost in nine games and we can go into our next games with a lot of confidence.

This was one of our best games of the season today. Sadly, we failed to add a second or third goal, which we certainly could have done, but we practically didn't let them have a chance. I think we can be very happy with this performance. We've not lost in nine and that should give us confidence.

Hamburg put us under a lot of pressure to begin with, but then we scored at just the right time and settled down after that. We also worked very well defensively as a team and didn't let them have many chances. Maybe we should have wrapped things up sooner because we had lots of chances but didn't take them, but we've got the points in the end and that's the most important thing.
