Frankfurt/Main - The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga have released the official schedule for Bundesliga Matchdays 7 through 11, while the fixture list has also been set in stone for Matchdays 9 through 13 in Bundesliga 2.

Matchday 7: Dortmund - Hamburg (Saturday 15:30 CET)

The Matchday 10 Klassiker between FC Bayern München and Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena will take place on 1 November 2014 at 18:30 CET (16:30 GMT). Due to an extended international break there will be no Friday evening encounter on Matchday 8, while three Sunday matches will take place on Matchday 10 as a result of All Saints’ Day falling on the preceding Friday.

With top-of-the-table clashes and local derbies on the cards, bundesliga.com takes a look at six potentially pulsating fixtures that are expected to set Germany’s top flight alight from the beginning of October to mid-November.

Hamburger SV don’t have fond memories of taking on Borussia Dortmund at the Signal-Iduna Park. Last season’s corresponding fixture ended in a 6-2 win for BVB under the floodlights on Matchday 5, but perhaps an afternoon match-up will serve the Red Shorts better.

Matchday 8: Köln - Dortmund (Saturday 15:30 CET)

Just two weeks after welcoming reigning champions FC Bayern München to the RheinEnergieStadion, newly-promoted 1. FC Köln are set to host the Bavarians’ closest competitors Dortmund, who have won 10 of their last 11 meetings with the Billy Goats.

Matchday 9: Leverkusen - Schalke (Saturday 18:30 CET)

Bayer 04 Leverkusen and FC Schalke 04 met on a Saturday evening last season and will follow suit again on Matchday 9. The Royal Blues came out on top courtesy of a 2-1 scoreline in 2013/14. Leon Goretzka and Jefferson Farfan got themselves on the scoresheet, but will be unable to feature at the BayArena this time around due to injury.

Matchday 9: Gladbach - FC Bayern (Sunday 17:30 CET)

A long-standing rivalry that stems from the historic success of both sides, Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Bayern München will close out Matchday 9 with a bang. The last time the Foals managed to pick up points against the record titleholders was Matchday 17 of the 2012/13 season.

Matchday 10: Bayern - Dortmund (Saturday 18:30 CET)

It’s the showdown of all showdowns as the current champions host last season’s runners up. FC Bayern München will be seeking to exact their revenge for not only the 2-0 defeat in the 2014 Supercup, but also last year’s 3-0 humbling on home soil suffered at the hands of Borussia Dortmund.

Matchday 11: Gladbach - Dortmund (Sunday 17:30 CET)

The ‘Battle of the Borussias’ will bring Matchday 11 to a close with Dortmund set to travel to Borussia Park. Their namesakes from Mönchengladbach are unbeaten in their last three encounters with BVB having picked up seven of a possible nine points in that time.
