Mainz - On the whole, both 1. FSV Mainz 05 and Hannover 96 were satisfied with a point from the goalless draw on Sunday afternoon that kept their respective unbeaten runs going, although the visitors' World Cup winning goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler bemoaned two points lost.

Hannover 96

bundesliga.com rounds up the thoughts of some of the game's key players...

Ron-Robert Zieler: We'd have liked to have gone into the international break with six points but we only have four. Sometimes in the Bundesliga you have to be happy with a hard-fought 0-0, though. Last season we might have lost a game like the one today, so we'll take the point and having four in the bank isn't too bad. It'll be nice to play [for Germany] against Argentina again now [on 3 September].

Joselu: In the first half we struggled a bit but we got into the game in the second period and had a few chances. 0-0 isn't a bad result. Now we've got to keep working to keep our unbeaten run going. We've added one point more to our tally. A draw is a fair result and now we can breathe easy for the next two weeks.

Niko Bungert: I think you could see today that both teams are still just getting going, both tried to keep it tight at the back and there wasn't a great deal of goalmouth action. After last week's match [a 2-2 draw against Paderborn] we were concentrating on defending well today and I think that showed. We've kept a clean sheet so that's definitely a step in the right direction.
