Fürth - Filipino international utility man has rejoined boyhood club Greuther Fürth on a four-year contract from Eintracht Frankfurt.

'Going back home'

The 27-year-old, who was named the Filipino Sportswriters' Association Footballer of the Year in 2013, spent eleven years at the Trolli Arena between 2001 and 2012 and returns to the club having made just twelve appearances for the Eagles last season.

"I'm really excited that the transfer has gone through," said the Schweinfurt-born player. "I'm going back home where my career began, where I had the best times of my career and where I enjoyed the greatest success. My bond with the city and the club has never broken and I really feel at home at the Spielvereinigung."

Born to a Filipino mother and a German father, Schröck made 183 appearances for Fürth during his first spell at the club, before joining 1899 Hoffenheim at the beginning of the 2012/13 campaign. He moved to Frankfurt after just a year at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena, but struggled to make an impact under Armin Veh last season.
