Munich - Netherlands winger Arjen Robben has extended his contract with FC Bayern München until 2017.

The Dutch star, who has scored ten league goals for the runaway Bundesliga leaders so far this term, put pen to paper on a two-year extension to his current deal on Wednesday afternoon.

'Hope to win more'

"I'm delighted to have signed the contract and to continue my hunt for trophies at FC Bayern," said the 30-year-old. "This is my fifth year in Munich, three are still ahead of me. My family and I are very happy here and it's amazing how much fun it is to play at this club and with this team. I'm looking forward to the years ahead and hope to win more titles at FC Bayern."

Chief executive Karl-Heinz Rumenigge echoed Robben's sentiments. "We're very happy that Arjen is staying with us until 2017," said the 58-year-old. "Arjen is a terrific footballer and proved his value to the team in the [2013] Champions League final at Wembley. He is a vital part of our team and will remain so over the coming years."
