Hanover - Bayer 04 Leverkusen skipper Simon Rolfes preferred to look at the positives after his charges ended their three-match losing streak against Hannover 96 on Matchday 24. For the hosts' Andre Hoffmann, however, it was a case of two points dropped after the 1-1 draw in the HDI Arena.

bundesliga.com rounds up the post-match reaction in Lower Saxony...

We’ve stopped the run of defeats and I think we played well. We had a lot of pace out wide and we deserved to make it 1-0. Then we conceded the goal and we lost our rhythm a bit, and Hannover hit us on the break very well. We had some good moments today but we also struggled at times. That’s something we have to look at.

It wasn’t our greatest performance and we were definitely a bit nervous, but we competed well. We’ve taken a point from the game and not lost, so that’s something.

We had chances to win the game and it’s frustrating that we didn’t take them. At the end of the day, though, we’ve put in a good performance and we can build on that. We might have won it but we also knew that Leverkusen are very good on the counter-attack.

On the one hand it was an even game but on the other, you could say that we had the better chances and so I think 1-1 isn’t really enough for us. We could have put some distance between us and the teams below us with a win and we’re a little disappointed. We played well but we could have won it.
