Bremen - SV Werder Bremen will spend a week in China as part of their summertime preparations for the 2014/15 campaign.

'An attractive brand'

Die Grün-Weißen's Asian tour includes two pre-season friendlies against representatives of the Chinese Super League and is scheduled to run from 30 June until 6 July.

"In sporting terms, the experience should bring the team close together," explained Werder's Marketing CEO Klaus Filbry. "Commercially, it's lucrative for Werder. We have the possibility to open doors there and make new contacts. [...] Werder is an attractive brand that will present itself accordingly."

Robin Dutt's side will take on 2011 Chinese Cup winners Tianjin TEDA FC on Wednesday 2 July 2014, before facing 2007 Chinese champions Changchun Yatai three days later.
