Munich - 1899 Hoffenheim and Tim Wiese have mutually agreed to terminate the former Germany international goalkeeper's contract.

New career path

Wiese, who joined the Sinsheim outfit in the summer of 2012 but has made just ten appearances in that time, may now find a new club.

"The aim was to find a sensible solution for all involved and we're very relieved that we have managed this," said Hoffenheim's CEO Peter Rettig. "We have managed to resolve the issue to our satisfaction."

Wiese, who made his last appearance for Germany in February 2012, was contracted to the club until 2016. The 32-year-old is now free to resume his career elsewhere. "This is a foundation which opens up more options and perspectives," said the experienced custodian. "After a not particularly easy time for me and my family, I can now look forward and consider my future."

Wiese has made a total of 269 Bundesliga appearances throughout his career, playing 55 times in European club competitions, most of which came in the UEFA Champions League with Bremen.
