Brooks facing two weeks out
Berlin - Hertha Berlin’s preparations for the Rückrunde have been dealt a blow following news of an injury to central defender John Anthony Brooks.
Back for Bundesliga restart
The twice-capped USA international strained ligaments in his left knee in training and is expected to be out for up to two weeks, meaning he will miss the club’s winter training camp trip to Belek, Turkey.
Brooks was restricted to just eight Bundesliga appearances during the first half of the season, owing to elbow and unrelated knee complaints, but is expected to be fit in time for sixth-placed Hertha’s return to competitive action away to Eintracht Frankfurt on 25 January.
