The accolades just keep on coming for former Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes. The 68-year-old, who guided the Bavarians to an historic quadruple last season, was awarded the Sport-Bambi 2013 on Thursday evening for his achievements with the . Heynckes' successor Pep Guardiola presented Heynckes with the trophy alongside pop star and football fan Robbie Williams. "You're a real role model for me," Guardiola told his predecessor.

They may not have the best record against Italy but the Germany squad seemed in relaxed mood ahead of their friendly with the Azzurri in Milan on Friday evening. Bayern star even posted a picture of himself on Facebook alongside Bayer 04 Leverkusen's , Borussia Dortmund's and Chelsea FC's Andre Schürrle on a night off. The quartet may be rivals at club level, but there seemed little sign of any tension among these four stars.

The Brazilian national team, meanwhile, have been training at the University of Florida ahead of their friendly with Honduras on Saturday, and the Selecao were paid a visit by a very special guest: Former Manchester United FC, Real Madrid CF and LA Galaxy star David Beckham watched on from the sidelines as Luiz Felipe Scolari put his team through its paces. After the session, Bayern defender managed to get a snap of himself with the former England captain, which he posted on Instagram. Say cheese!
