League Association President Dr. Rauball congratulates new IOC President
Frankfurt - League Association President Dr. Reinhard Rauball has, on behalf of the Bundesliga, congratulated the new IOC President, Germany's Dr. Thomas Bach, on his election to the position.

Dr. Rauball congratulated Dr. Bach on behalf of "German professional football" after his election success at the IOC conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
"The congratulations of the Bundesliga go to Dr. Thomas Bach," said Dr Rauball. "German professional football welcomes the IOC's decision because Dr. Bach is one of the world's top sport politicians. He has proven his abilities in the sporting and political arena over the last few decades, as a former elite athlete and current representative of sport. His qualities are well-suited to the challenges ahead of balancing economic necessity with the values and diversity of sport."
Bach has been elected for an eight-year term until 2021, where he will have the possibility to run for another four years. He succeeds the Belgian Jacques Rogge.
