After the game, captain Philipp Lahm preferred to concentrate on his side's winning start to the season, while Bastian Schweinsteiger said that there was still room for improvement.

bundesliga.com rounds up the post-match thoughts of those involved...

Philipp Lahm: We can de delighted with our start to the season. Today was a team effort, and with regards to my game, it's not that I've become more attack-minded. Last season I assisted goals too, but my game has changed slightly.

Bastian Schweinsteiger: We knew before the game that Nürnberg would defend in their own half, but we could have done with the security of a goal earlier. We had to be patient and we were. We still managed to play on the front foot and we went up a gear in the second half. We know we can play better, but that'll come.

Arjen Robben: My role hasn't changed a lot [under Pep Guardiola] to be honest. He knows my quality, he knows I play on the right. Perhaps our game is a little different, but I think in general much of my role is still the same.

Daniel Ginczek: If we'd been luckier we could have gone in at half time in the lead, we gave everything. As it was, we had a good first hour and then it went downhill. There are certainly positives we can take though.

Hanno Balitsch: We were a very disciplined and unpleasant opponent, but you can't stop everything Bayern throw at you, they possess such quality. Thomas Müller coming on gave them a bit more thrust, and we were still fighting, even at 2-0. We're not blaming each other.
