Dortmund - Henrikh Mkhitaryan wore a bright smile after his Bundesliga debut for Borussia Dortmund was marked by a 2-1 win over Eintracht Braunschweig.
The Armenian international admitted his relief at his side taking three points, whilst reserving special thanks for the support of the home fans. Braunschweig's captain Dennis Kruppke, on the other hand, reflected on another difficult game and another defeat.
bundesliga.com rounds up the post-match reactions...
Henrikh Mkhitaryan*: It was my first match and I have to say thanks to the fans. They really helped us today. Braunschweig were difficult opposition. They played defensively and closed down the space, but we had a good second half. The most important thing was to win and take three points.
Jonas Hofmann: Scoring my first Bundesliga goal in front of the Südtribüne [Signal Iduna Park's famous south stand] is the best thing I could've imagined, especially as it was such an important goal. I'm going to relax and enjoy it this evening.
Dennis Kruppke*: It wasn't quite good enough today. We played well though and it's a shame we couldn't get a result. We just weren't able to stick to our plan, which was to stop them scoring.
Kevin Kratz*: We can be pleased with the performance, if not the result. I think everyone saw how well we performed today.
