Munich - German international midfielder Mario Götze has been included in the FC Bayern Munich squad ahead of Saturday afternoon's clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Coach Pep Guardiola confirmed Götze’s presence in the travelling party during a press conference on Friday afternoon, stating that “he will travel to Frankfurt with us”. Götze made a goal-scoring start to his FC Bayern career last weekend in Hungary, where he hit the net twice in a 4-1 victory over Győri ETO FC.

Guardiola described the players who were involved in international action this week as “tired, but fit and ready to go”. He also warned of the danger posed by an Eintracht Frankfurt side intent on recovering after their 6-1 thrashing against Hertha Berlin on the opening weekend, emphasising that “they’ll be even more motivated against us”.
