Braunschweig - Eintracht Braunschweig have announced their second new arrival of the summer with Jan Hochscheidt joining from FC Erzgebirge Aue.

Impossible to turn down

The 25-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract with the promoted side after spending the last five seasons with Aue.

During that time, Hochscheidt totalled 171 appearances and scored 28 goals, but once Braunschweig came knocking, he did not have to think twice. "I was delighted when Eintracht enquired about me," he said. "It wasn't such a big decision to make. It was clear that they were my first choice following promotion to the Bundesliga."

"We're really pleased that we've reached an agreement with Jan," said Braunschweig's sporting director Marc Arnold. "He fits in 100 per cent with Eintracht and has always shown top performances in recent years. He's very versatile in the attacking midfield and has shown with ten goals this season how dangerous he is."
