Berlin - Hertha BSC Berlin have continued their preparations for life in the Bundesliga next season by announcing the signing of 1. FC Kaiserslautern midfielder .

The 26-year-old has joined the capital club on a free transfer, signing a three-year contract.

Baumjohann previously made 65 Bundesliga appearances for FC Schalke 04, Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Bayern Munich.
