Kreuzer new sporting director at Hamburg

Hamburg - Hamburger SV have confirmed the appointment of Oliver Kreuzer as the club's new sporting director.

HSV supervisory board chairman Manfred Ertl announced the news of Kreuzer's imminent arrival from Karslruher SC on a three-year contract at the club's general assembly on Sunday (2 June).

The 47-year-old former Karlsruhe, FC Bayern Munich and FC Basel defender, who oversaw KSC's re-promotion to Bundesliga 2 in the season just ended, will officially take up his duties at Hamburg on 11 June. He succeeds Frank Arnesen, with whom the Red Shorts parted company in late May.
