Hamburg - Hamburger SV and sporting director Frank Arnesen have agreed to part ways with immediate effect.

The decision comes against the backdrop of a "difference in opinions concerning the long-term direction of the club."
The board of directors thanked the Dane for his input and loyal service during a two-year stint at the club that included a brief spell as interim manager. "This season's performance is an indicator of his successful time here. We would like to wish him all the best for the future both personally and professionally."
