Munich - GOAL! The Bundesliga Magazine is the DFL's weekly TV programme, offering a global audience a unique perspective on Germany's top flight throughout the season. In-depth previews of the upcoming action feature alongside exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes reports, the best goals from the latest league encounters and much more besides. Coming up this week...

The New Champions

And so to the final round of weekend action for 2012/13, the 50th season of Germany's national top flight. Much has been decided already, of course, but, as this week's top games bear testimony to, there is plenty more that has not, with the best part of half the division still chasing very concrete targets at one end of the table or the other. With all that, FC Bayern's title celebrations and the small matter of a certain Bundesliga head-to-head in London looming ever closer, this is one edition of GOAL! you don't want to miss.

It was clear long before it became official and official long before it came to pass that FC Bayern Munich would be the club taking receipt of the domestic game's top honour this season, the championship plate. The moment duly arrived in the wake of the now 22-time Bundesliga title winners' final home game of the season against FC Augsburg - another victory, another clean sheet - as League Association president Dr. Reinhard Rauball handed over the trophy to team captain . And once the on-field formalities were concluded, it was time for the traditional open-top motorcade to weave its way through the streets of the Bavarian capital, destination Marienplatz and the city hall balcony. GOAL! was right there too, soaking up the atmosphere.

Top Game

SC Freiburg entertain FC Schalke 04 in the standout fixture of the final matchday, a game with all the qualities of a final, with fourth place in the table and a punt at the Champions League qualifying rounds the prize up for grabs. Not that it is being contested on a completely level playing field, though, with Freiburg's home advantage more than cancelled out by the fact that Schalke are a point ahead of them in the standings and could thus very possibly make it over the finish line with a share of the spoils. They could - but that is far from certain either, with Eintracht Frankfurt lurking a further point behind and waiting to pounce, even if it would take a handsome defeat of Wolfsburg for them to come out on top in that particular scenario. The chances are, then, that this meeting against the scenic backdrop of the Black Forest will determine who the Bundesliga's fourth representatives will be at Europe's top table next season.

Champions League final special

London's Wembley Stadium is the appropriately historic setting for a football first on Saturday 25 May, as FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund face off in the first all-German final of Europe's and, in the eyes of many, the world's most prestigious club tournament, the UEFA Champions League. An annual sporting highlight with a massive global audience, this year's game is also the best of all possible adverts for the inexorable rise in standing of the Bundesliga after long years in the shadows of the Spanish, English and Italian top flights. As a taster, GOAL! gets an angle on the big match from some famous names from other arenas - six-time tennis Grand Slam champion Boris Becker, Scorpions lead singer Klaus Meine and WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight champ - and avowed FC Bayern fan - Wladimir Klitschko.
