Dortmund - Reigning Bundesliga titleholders Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without Polish international Jakub Blaszczykowski in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg against Malaga CF.

The 27-year-old, who travelled to the south of Spain with the side despite suffering from a groin strain, sent out a message on his official Facebook page roughly seven hours before kick-off to clarify the situation: "The decision has been made. Unfortunately I won't play [against Malaga]. The risk is too great. Lets all cheer the team on now!"
