Wolfsburg - Josue, the captain of the VfL Wolfsburg side who stormed to the Bundesliga title in 2008/09, is set to return to his native Brazil to sign up with Atletico Mineiro on a two-year contract.

The 33-year-old midfielder, who has turned out 164 times in the Bundesliga for the Wolves since joining them from Sao Paolo FC in 2007, said, "I'm obviously sad to be leaving Wolfsburg as well, but this is a big challenge for me and one I'm looking forward to. It's been a wonderful time at VfL, with all its ups and downs. This is where I made my breakthrough, and the club will always have a special place in my heart."
