Munich - FC Bayern Munich have extended terms with German international centre-back Holger Badstuber for a further three years until 30 June 2017.

Born in Bayern, staying in Bayern

The 23-year-old, currently sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury, is set to pen the deal on Friday according to the club's official website.

Badstuber becomes the latest home-grown talent to commit his long-term future to the record champions, following in the footsteps of Thomas Müller, who recently also signed up for the next four years.

The defender joined Bayern's youth setup in 2002 and, after winning a domestic double and reaching the UEFA Champions League final in his first season as a professional in 2009/10, has since gone on to make 101 Bundesliga appearances for the club.
