Frankfurt - The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga continues to expand its internet presence for Bundesliga fans around the globe. After launching an English-language website bundesliga.com, as well as a Polish variation, there is now a version in Japanese to further enrich the offering.

Top Japanese stars

The website www.bundesliga.com/jp is now live, presenting a news and content based concept tailored to Japanese fans.

The 10 Japanese players currently plying their trade in the Bundesliga, including Atsuto Uchida, Hiroshi Kiyotake and Takashi Inui, will be at the forefront of the new site, which is being produced by the DFL's subsidiary DFL Digital Sports.

"With this offering, we want to get Japanese fans even more excited about the Bundesliga and also further increase the awareness of the Bundesliga in Japan," said DFL Sport Enterprises Chief Executive Officer Jörg Daubitzer. "We are therefore also supporting our TV partners Fuji-TV and NHK in attracting more fans for the Bundesliga in what is an important market. In addition we are delighted to have attracted a further TV partner, Fox Sports Japan, who will report on the German top flight from March onwards."

Comprehensive offering

The new website includes reports and portraits of players and clubs in the Bundesliga, as well as statistics that can be accessed during and after the matches, photo galleries and videos, as well as interviews with players and experts. Furthermore, Bundesliga.com/jp will also be offering information about Germany as a footballing nation.

bundesliga.com/jp has its own, password-protected area with extensive material and matchday facts, as well as DFL publications and contact details for media representatives and broadcasters.
