Hajnal commits to Stuttgart

Stuttgart - VfB Stuttgart and have agreed a new deal which will keep the midfielder at the club until 2014, with the option of a further one-year extension.

“The past two years, with surviving the drop and reaching the Europa League, have been very emotional, intense and successful,” the 52-time Hungary international said, adding that “VfB are a fantastic club. I feel right at home here and look forward to using the experience I've gained domestically and at international level to help the team wherever possible over the coming year.”

Sporting director Fredi Bobic likewise expressed his satisfaction at the deal. “With his experience, he's good for the team and he’s a player who always puts the team's interests first.”

Hajnal joined Stuttgart from Borussia Dortmund during the 2011 winter transfer window. He has scored four goals and laid on a further 14 in 55 Bundesliga appearances since.
