Munich - The best goals are the ones that come when you least expect it. The ones created by a touch of magic; out of the blue. Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Juan Arango provided one on Matchday 16, yet that was not his only early candidate for goal of the season.

Left-foot legend

While falling to the ground near to his own bench, wide on the touchline, Arango half-volleyed the ball from well over 40 yards, looping it to perfection into an unguarded goal against Mainz 05, providing the best Bundesliga goal of the 2012/13 season so far, and three points for his side.

"Somehow I'm better at scoring difficult goals," said the 32-year-old after that latest srike from his growing repertoire. It was his fifth of the season, and they just get better every time. Against Eintracht Frankfurt, he picked out the top corner from 30 yards, he scored against Wolfsburg with an inimitable angled volley and Hannover saw what a threat he can be with a free-kick from a seemingly impossible angle.

"Juan knows that we desperately need him - his efficiency is very important for us," said his coach Lucien Favre. "Arango is one of the best left-footed players in the world. He's scoring some incredible goals this year. I don't know what's come over him, but it's incredible."
