Augsburg - FC Augsburg have been dealt a blow ahead of their Matchday 3 clash against VfL Wolfsburg with the news that goalkeeper Simon Jentzsch faces a spell on the sidelines.

Jentzsch will undergo surgery on Tuesday following the recurrence of a finger injury that kept him out of action for a spell last season.

The 36-year-old custodian is expected to be out for at least the next few weeks, depending on how the operation goes.
