Paderborn - SC Paderborn 07 have relieved coach Markus Gellhaus of his duties as head coach after a disappointing start to their first season back in Bundesliga 2.
Paderborn, who were relegated from the Bundesliga at the end of last term, hired Gellhaus in the summer after Andre Breitenreiter moved on to FC Schalke 04.
Müller returns as caretaker
The club's return to the second tier has not started well, however. Paderborn have won just twice in their opening ten games following Monday's 1-0 defeat to MSV Duisburg, a side who had previously failed to win all season.
Paderborn's youth director Rene Müller will take over as caretaker coach while the club searches for a long term replacement. This will be Müller's second spell as caretaker boss, having guided Paderborn to Bundesliga 2 safety in 2012/13 following the departure of Stephan Schmidt.
