FSV Frankfurt have moved swiftly to find a replacement for Tomas Oral, who was relieved of his duties on Sunday, by appointing Falko Götz until the end of the season.
The 54-year-old former TSV 1860 Munich and Hertha Berlin coach has been given the challenge of saving the club from relegation. "The team is strong enough to stay up," he said. "But we've got to find solutions fast."
A 4-1 defeat at VfL Bochum on Saturday has left FSV five points above the drop zone with five games of the season remaining. "I'm fully focused on FSV and convinced we will stay up," added Götz.
