• Lautern enjoy better of the chances.
  • Görtler hits woodwork for hosts.
  • Teams stay four points apart.

1. FC Kaiserslautern and Karlsruher SC shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion on Sunday.

1. FC Kaiserslautern 0-0 Karlsruher SC

With both teams rooted firmly in mid-table before kick-off, the game was somewhat lacking in urgency in the early stages, with Karlsruhe happy to let their hosts have possession in non-threatening areas.

There were few opportunities to speak of in the first half - Jon Dadi Bödvarsson missed the best when his acrobatic effort was deflected wide - and proceedings followed a similar pattern after the restart. Lukas Görtler came closest to breaking the deadlock when his close-range effort was kept out by a combination of the goalkeeper and the post. The result leaves KSC, still four points and a place above the Red Devils with six games to go in the campaign.
