- Visitors come from behind to secure 19th win of the season.
- Ralf Rangnick's men move on to 62 points, second to leaders SC Freiburg on goal difference.
- Striker Yussuf Poulsen scores two and makes one.
RB Leipzig's seemingly unstoppable march towards promotion continued on Monday evening thanks to a 3-1 victory away to Fortuna Düsseldorf.
The result may look like a comfortable win, but the visitors did not have things all their own way, especially in the early stages. Düsseldorf began aggressively, denying Leipzig time and space on the ball and even went in front when Oliver Fink finished from close range in the 15th minute. The guests responded well, though, and levelled on the stroke of half-time through Yussuf Poulsen's classy chipped finish.
The Danish striker turned provider just seconds into the second half, crossing for fellow attacker Davie Selke to tap home. Leipzig never looked like relinquishing their lead after that and sealed the victory in the 73rd minute when Poulsen notched his second of the night. The result means Leipzig stay level on points with leaders SC Freiburg, while Düsseldorf are just above the relegation play-off place.
