1. FC Nürnberg blew the promotion race wide open after coming from behind to beat Bundesliga 2 leaders RB Leipzig 3-1 on Matchday 27.

1. FC Nürnberg 3-1 RB Leipzig

Goals: 0-1 Selke (52'), 1-1 Petrak (70'), 2-1 Füllkrug (75'), 3-1 Burgstaller (90+4')

Third-in-the-table Nürnberg enjoyed the lion’s share of possession in the first half, but could not get the goal their dominance deserved. The hosts’ two best chances both fell to Sebastian Kerk, who drew a stunning save from Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulasci, before firing wide from Guido Burgstaller barely 60 seconds later.

Nürnberg were made to pay for their profligacy when Davie Selke put Leipzig ahead early in the second half, but the lead was swiftly wiped out thanks to quick-fire goals from Ondrej Petrak and Niclas Füllkrug. Burgstaller added a third in injury time as Der Club moved to within three points of top spot on the back of their fifth successive win.
