TSV 1860 Munich missed the chance to pull out of the relegation places after being held to 1-1 draw by DSC Arminia Bielefeld.

TSV 1860 Munich 1-1 DSC Arminia Bielefeld

Goals: 1-0 Mauersberger (19'), 1-1 Görlitz (55')

1860 began the day in the promotion/relegation play-off place, though having played a game less than Fortuna Düsseldorf. Playing with wingers in a 4-4-2 formation, Benno Möhlmann's side were able to create more chances than they had in last Sunday's 2-1 reverse at RB Leipzig, and they took the lead midway through the first half when centre-back Jan Mauersberger forced home his first goal since April 2014.

Arminia Bielefeld battled back to draw 1-1 in October's reverse fixture, and they equalled that feat here when substitute Michael Görlitz doubled his season tally in fine style, steering a left-footed shot from outside the box in off the post. Late pressure from Norbert Meier's side failed to render another goal, and it ended 1-1 at the Allianz Arena.
