Promotion-chasing 1. FC Nürnberg overpowered DSC Arminia Bielefeld to record an emphatic 4-0 victory on Friday evening, setting a new club record of 16 league matches unbeaten in the process.

DSC Arminia Bielefeld 0-4 1. FC Nürnberg

Goals: 0-1 Kerk (61'); 0-2 Füllkrug (pen. 65'); 0-3 Burgstaller (88'); 0-4 Behrens (90')

Red card: Hornig (64')

Norbert Meier's side matched the visitors admirably in the first half and had chances to go in front, most notably through Fabian Klos, who slammed a volley against the crossbar after receiving the ball unmarked ten yards from goal.

After the break, however, Nürnberg's class told and they were in front on the hour-mark when Sebastian Kerk rounded the goalkeeper and slid home from an angle. Manuel Hornig was then shown a straight red card for bringing down Niclas Füllkrug, who dusted himself down to convert the resulting spot-kick, before late goals from Guido Burgstaller and Hanno Behrens added gloss to the scoreline.
