TSV 1860 Munich pulled out of the relegation zone, edging a five-goal thriller with SV Sandhausen 3-2 on Friday evening.
Goals: 1-0 Schindler (10'), 1-1 Bouhaddouz (12'), 2-1 Mölders (30'), 3-1 Liendl (pen 61'), 3-2 Jovanovic (72')
The game started at a frenetic pace, and both teams had already crashed efforts off the crossbar before Christopher Schindler opened the scoring for 1860 with a header from a corner ten minutes in. Sandhausen were back on level terms with the very next attack when Aziz Bouhaddouz acrobatically converted his ninth goal of the season, but 1860 pulled ahead with another header, this time from Sascha Mölders.
Sandhausen substitute Korbinian Vollmann hit the post with a free-kick before 1860 pulled further clear thanks to a Michael Liendl penalty. The visitors kept the hosts honest when Ranislav Jovanovic bundled the ball home soon after, but 1860 defended resolutely down the stretch to claim their third consecutive win.
