TSV 1860 Munich defeated 1. FC Kaiserslautern 1-0 on Tuesday to record a second successive victory and give their survival hopes a major boost.
Goals : 0-1 Bülow (18’)
The visitors had not won in Kaiserslautern since February 2008, but Kai Bülow’s early header was enough to secure all three points for Benno Möhlmann’s side and lift them into the relegation play-off place.
The visitors did need some excellent stops from goalkeeper Stefan Ortega to preserve their lead, notably a fingertip save to push a Kacper Przybylko shot onto the bar in added time at the end of the game.
