FC St Pauli 1-0 RB Leipzig
Marc Rzatkowski scored what proved to be the only goal of the game in the eighth minute, putting the finishing touch to a fine counterattack.
That was the approach the hosts used throughout the match, with the Leipzig piling on the pressure in an effort to force an equaliser. US forward Fabrice-Jean Picault had a chance to wrap things up for St. Pauli late on, but he could only find the post from a tight angle. It did not matter, though, as the the home side held on to move within eight points of the leaders.
