DSC Arminia Bielefeld recorded just their fourth win of the season after a late goal handed them a 2-1 victory away to FSV Frankfurt 1899 on Friday evening.
They were forced to come from behind too, as the hosts went 1-0 up in an otherwise uneventful first half when the unmarked Fanol Perdedaj stroked home from 12 yards from Shawn Maurice Barry’s cross.
Bielefeld came out much stronger after the break and pulled level almost immediately through Fabian Klos. The visitors continued to push forward and the game developed into an open, entertaining encounter with chances at both ends. Ultimately, however, it was Bielefeld who took all three points when Tom Schütz netted an 88th-minute winner.
