Ten-men Karlsruher SC were twice forced to come from behind to secure a precious point following a 2-2 draw with Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday afternoon.

Karlsruher SC 2-2 Eintracht Braunschweig

The hosts got off to a strong start and duly took the lead when Mirko Boland skipped past his marker before letting fly with an effort that sailed into the top corner. However, KSC restored parity shortly before the half-hour mark when Manuel Torres converted from the spot following a handball inside the area by Phil Ofosu-Ayeh.

The Lions retook the lead within two minutes of the restart courtesy of Saulo Decarli’s smart finish on the turn and looked to be in complete control of proceedings when Ylli Salahi picked up his second bookable offence. Not to be denied though, Karlsruhe again produced an equaliser, this time through Dimitrios Diamantakos, and, while Torres went closest to winning the game, the spoils were ultimately shared.
