MSV Duisburg showed signs of life in the relegation battle as they managed to hold onto to a 1-1 draw against SpVgg Greuther Fürth despite being a man down for the final 25 minutes.

SpVgg Greuther Fürth 1-1 MSV Duisburg

Goals: 0-1 Wolze (47’), 1-1 Gjasula (67’)

Red Cards: Holland (66’)

After a first half in which Fürth controlled proceedings, restricting the hosts to few goalscoring chances, Duisburg scored against the run of play immediately after the restart when Kevin Wolze capitalised on the Clover Leaves failure to clear from a free-kick.

However, after Marcel Franke squandered a chance to equalise less than ten minutes later, it was left to Jürgen Gjasula to convert from the spot when James Holland was sent off for a last-man challenge just after the hour mark, leaving both sides to pick up a point which helps neither.
