Freiburg - SC Freiburg moved top of the Bundesliga 2 standings after thrashing SpVgg Greuther Fürth 5-2 on Matchday 11.
Freiburg dominated the opening 45, but only had Immanuel Höhn’s close-range strike on the stroke of half time to show for it. A blistering five-minute spell then saw Maximilian Philipp double Freiburg’s lead, before Vincenzo Grifo drove in a stunning third and slotted through the legs of Sebastian Mielitz to make it 4-0.
Fürth responded almost immediately through Sebastian Freis, but it was not long before Freiburg were back on the scoresheet, this time with Grifo turning provider for Nils Petersen. Veton Berisha’s 88th-minute strike was scant consolation for the dejected visitors.
