Frankfurt - FSV Frankfurt slipped inside the bottom three for the first time since Matchday 10 after falling to a 3-1 defeat at home to 1. FC Union Berlin.

Maximilian Thiel gave Union a flying start with the opening goal in the tenth minute, capitalising on what appeared to be a shot from Sebastian Polter, but turned into an excellent assist. Union wasted chances to add a second before Edmond Kapllani headed the hosts back on terms from Vincenzo Grifo's cross.

Odhise Roshi hit the post twice as Frankfurt almost took the lead, only seconds before Union went in front for the second time through Martin Kobylanski. Damir Kreilach then broke Frankfurt hearts just when it looked like the hosts were going to level, converting another Polter assist from a tight angle to send Frankfurt into serious relegation danger with one game of the season remaining.
