Berlin - FC Erzgebirge Aue followed their relegation rivals in winning on Matchday 32 with a 2-1 triumph at 1. FC Union Berlin.

With VfR Aalen and TSV 1860 Munich triumphing on Friday night, Aue knew they could ill-afford not to take all three points. They started well and were rewarded with the opening goal midway through the first half when Stefan Mugosa toe-poked the ball home from 15 yards. Bobby Wood could have made it two a minute later, but he was denied by Union goalkeeper Daniel Haas.

The visitors doubled the lead on the hour mark when Clemens Fandrich turned in Rico Benatelli's cross, but Union replied instantly with Martin Kobylanski netting a spectacular 25-yard effort. It was backs-to-the-wall time for Aue, who held on to keep their survival hopes alive on a weekend when all of the bottom four picked up maximum points.
